Audrey is a funny story…

Purchased as a golden Sebright pullet it soon became apparent that this is not what HE was..although for many months he did look awfully girly and it wasn’t until he started growing his saddle feathers that he was actually a he…his breed was determined quite early as I learnt more about what certain breeds actually looked liked.

when I got him he took “free ranging” to a whole new level and escaped the yard and spent 24hrs walking the streets around my property. I was so relieved when I got him home, he holds a very special place with me and is probably one of my favourites, as we have a special bond due to his adventures.

Audrey loves the camera so there are many photos of him. He is best friends with Susie and Rafiki and you very rarely find them separated.

Audrey is dominate rooster and none of the other boys dare mess with him.. and he has nothing but manners with the girls if they turn down his advances, a real gentleman.
